Peer Chaplain Questions
The Peer Chaplain does not lead a workshop track. The Chaplain’s primary responsibility is to facilitate credo time and the worship evaluations, to monitor group dynamics and be available for peer-to-peer pastoral care. The Peer Chaplain is available for GoldMine students to process their experience or any outside stressors, without needing to “fix” or give advice. Their primary role is to ask probing questions and create a comfortable space to talk. It’s strongly encouraged that the Peer Chaplain has formal Chrysalis Chaplain training and that this is not their first experience chaplaining their peers.

To apply for this position complete the three questions below, you must be a youth 16-18 years of age, and you must have completed the Youth and Young Adult Section above.
What experience/training do you have in peer-to-peer chaplaining?
Three sentences minimum, please.
How would your role as peer chaplain at GoldMine be different from being a chaplain at cons or in your congregation?
Three sentences minimum, please.
Please describe a chaplain scenario you’ve experienced and how you handled it.
Three sentences minimum, please.
